A Conservative Approach to Restorative Dentistry

Cavities (also called caries), infections (also called abscesses), and chipped, cracked or broken teeth are all conditions that can be treated.  In each of these scenarios, some tooth structure is lost or compromised and it takes a good dentist to determine how to best fix the problem. Removing the diseased part of the tooth is the first step in fixing the problem; however, making sure to remove as little healthy tooth structure as possible to achieve success is the best approach.

Prevention and Early Intervention

Dr. Holton and his entire staff continually seek out high quality continuing education and work hard to stay on top of up-to-date research. We are rooted in evidenced based practice to ensure that we offer information to our patients that has been clinically proven to be effective. Passing along our knowledge so our patients can take charge of their oral health is our focus. Being able to correct problems as they inevitably arise is our area of expertise.  Therefore, we emphasize prevention above all and monitor each of our patients closely to catch problems early. When issues are caught early, we recommend the following whenever possible:

·         PREVENTION instead of RESTORATIVE DENTISTRY
